Responsible for running Data Platform for Fixed Income Pricing group at Bloomberg. Early on as I took over the team I helped set the vision for the team which was to \"Accelerate usage of data within the org\". To achieve that vision following capabilities were added by the team - Provided a SQL interface to the DataLake via Trino- Integrated with Trino Gateway to seamlessly scale clusters- Trino was orchestrated on top of K8s to seamlessly scale individual Trino clusters, encourage team to get adopt more modern technologies like K8s- Provided Superset as a visualization tool on top of the lake to enable ease of access of data- Drove the initiative of adoption of Superset with non technical users and facilitated the adoption by driving the team to provide documentation, starter dashboards and targeted user workshops- Improved overall stability of the Platform by improving SDLC processes by instituting a process of pre-mortem. Helping the team understand value of right interfaces and abstractions- Instituted a culture of proactive alerting which improved overall production stability- Formed relationship with the users of the platform to understand their short term and long term needs and came up with a strategy to balance technical initiatives and production priorities. Also set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization\'s goals- Brought about cost efficiency on the platform by improving observability- Encouraged the team to submit summer project proposals, the team ended up getting interns in 2024 and 2025.
