Occasional travel to Washington D.C. as well to meet with members of the Illinois Congressional delegation and national organizations. ABOUT SEBASTIAN WONG

Policy Manager at Forefront; working to uplift the work of the only statewide association in Illinois that advocates for nonprofits and grant makers. Graduate from Aurora University with a bachelors in political science and a bachelors in social work. Strong background of public service at various offices at the state and federal level. Past roles have included in depth constituent casework, community event planning and outreach, extensive long term research, legislative negotiations, lawmaker relations, and communication initiatives on various digital platforms. Volunteer on my own time on advocacy work and campaigns as well. Main passions include keeping up to date on legislation occurring in the Illinois General Assembly as well as in the U.S. Congress. I believe in a macro level approach to tackling systematic or environmental challenges through productive legislative work while simultaneously working with various populations, communities, and stakeholders. I utilize both of my degrees and personal experiences towards public policies at all levels of government that are equitable and uplift disenfranchised groups. I enjoy working and negotiating with everyone across the political spectrum, but will strongly stand on progressive values and advocacy that promotes human rights for all. Proud son of two Latine immigrants and first generation queer Latino.
