About Scott Swisher
Experienced commercial real estate leader focused on leading teams responsible for originating and underwriting fixed and floating rate debt financing for real estate investment properties nationwide.During my commercial real estate career I have underwritten and closed $20 billion+ of commercial real estate transactions for construction, bridge, mezzanine, senior perm debt, and preferred equity financing. Specifically, I have underwritten assets across the product spectrum with an emphasis on the major asset classes of office, hotel, retail, industrial and multifamily. I also have extensive experience with loan modifications and workouts across loan and property types. At ACORE Capital I am a Managing Director responsible for cultivating relationships and leading a team in sourcing, originating and completing underwriting and credit diligence on $1 to 3 billion of construction, bridge and mezzanine debt per year with an average loan size of approximately $75M. Prior to ACORE, I spent 4+ years as a large loan originator and senior underwriter at Starwood Property Trust where I was involved in originating, underwriting and closing over $4.5 billion in floating rate debt. Prior to joining Starwood, I worked in brokerage at George Smith Partners in Los Angeles where I arranged over $300 million of debt, JV equity and preferred equity financing for commercial real estate assets nationwide. My education includes an MBA with a concentration in real estate and finance from UCLA Anderson and bachelors degree in Finance and Economics from James Madison University. Prior to attending UCLA Anderson in 2008, I enjoyed a successful career as an operations and strategy consultant where I served in leadership roles on the financial restatements of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
