ABOUT SCOTT ALLEN
I’m a “people person.” I truly enjoy helping clients find the best talent for their companies, and the best jobs for our candidates. Even though I’ve been in this industry for over fourteen years, I still get a thrill from helping to facilitate a connection. Whether it’s the first job in someone’s career or the dream job they’ve been working toward for years, it’s a great feeling knowing I’ve helped a person find what they’re looking for. Like so many people in the recruiting industry, I found my way in from accounting. Happily, I was successful early in my career, and I moved into different positions, taking on more responsibilities as I moved up. Now, as managing director of the Mississauga office, my role is a combination of everything I’ve done in the past. I opened our current branch, and I oversee everything that goes on there. From managing the team that handles full-time placement to watering the office plants, nothing misses my oversight. I’m a glass is half full guy. I always try to make the most of any situation and can provide an important counterbalance to more cynical perspectives. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and hanging out with my family. But my (not so) secret passion is for funky socks. You will never find me wearing plain black or white socks. The more colorful, the more interesting the pattern, the better.
