Satish Bapanapalli is currently the Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations at Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, MN (since Feb 2025) leading all production operations on the SR aircrafts production line. Satish loves building high functioning teams by developing effective leaders and advocating positive organizational leadership values. Satish is passionate about lean operations, stable and predictable production systems, and strengthening the safety and quality management systems.Previously, Satish worked for 10 years at Boeing with his last role as Superintendent of Manufacturing Operations at the Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Renton, Washington. Satish’s previous roles at Boeing include leadership roles in Boeing Manufacturing, Supply Chain/ Fulfillment, Quality, and Product Development (R&D) leading both day-to-day operations, and strategic/ continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to Boeing, Satish worked for six years as a Project Lead, Engineer, and Researcher at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Satish\'s career has been a healthy mix of leadership roles in operations management, project management and engineering. In future, Satish plans to continue to advance a career in general management focusing on manufacturing, supply chain operations, and airplane development. At Boeing, Satish was part of the prestigious Tauber/LGO Leadership Development Program. Satish has an MBA degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, where he is also a Fellow of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. Satish has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.Satish is married with one child (15). Satish loves being outdoors: hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, and golf. He enjoys running and has run over 15 half-marathons. Coached YMCA Mill Creek Flag Football and Basketball teams.
