Drive improvements in data and information practices across Stats NZ by delivering expert business analysis services, strategic advice, and innovative solutions that align with enterprise objectives.• Partner with diverse business units, project teams, and stakeholders to define, validate, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and regulatory obligations.• Lead and mentor business analysts within project teams, building capability, fostering good practice, and championing agile and continuous improvement methodologies across the organization.• Develop and implement business analysis strategies and frameworks, introducing innovative approaches that strengthen Stats NZ’s data governance, information management, and decision-making practices.• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and customer meetings to capture current-state processes, assess risks, and design effective future-state solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.• Produce comprehensive documentation, including system models, process maps, options analysis, and business cases, to support effective planning, solution design, and delivery.• Provide consulting and advisory support to business teams, proactively contributing domain expertise to programs and projects while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Māori customers and partners, ensuring responsive, inclusive, and culturally aware business analysis practices that reflect organizational values.
