Experience with installation and configuration of monitoring dashboards, modeling, correlation and impact views/analysis. Advanced UNIX systems administrator skill set. Working knowledge of several scripting languages. Engaged in project lifecycle gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements related to proactive and reactive monitoring and event creation. Other duties include operational activity related to Request and Incident Management. identifying and closing gaps or fixing defects in existing monitoring. Proactively identifying gaps and creation of monitoring before an Incident occurs. Reactively responding to Incidents and remediating gaps where monitoring does not exist.Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on departmental results. Is responsible for improving processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Can adapt and embrace new perspectives and approaches on existing problems. Works to influence and educate parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, practices and procedures. Documents monitoring requirements as well as application and infrastructure troubleshooting processes for resolving issues monitors alert for.
