ABOUT SARAH AGNEW
My career has been both varied and rewarding, shaped by hands‑on leadership, continuous improvement, and complex change delivery across multiple industries.I began my professional journey as Managing Director of an electrical business in Perth, a role I held for nearly a decade. Leading the business end‑to‑end, I was responsible for strategy, financial management, marketing, HR, and regulatory compliance. Alongside running the business, I completed an Advanced Diploma of Accounting and a Bachelor of Applied Management. After closing the business to achieve a better work–life balance, I transitioned into large‑scale program delivery, managing logistics for the NBN rollout in Perth and later Brisbane.I then spent four impactful years at BHP, where I held a number of roles including Business Analyst, Data & Reporting Specialist, Continuous Improvement Specialist within IROC+, and Change Manager for a major M&A initiative. These roles strengthened my capability in driving efficiency, leading enterprise‑scale change, and delivering measurable business outcomes. During this period, I also completed a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Strategy through the Australian Institute of Management and was awarded Highest Achieving Student in 2023.Following my redundancy from BHP, I have continued to build breadth and depth through contract roles including ANZ Productivity Manager at PepsiCo, Global Change Manager at Flight Centre Travel Group, and currently Change Lead at Accenture, delivering services on a major Queensland University of Technology (QUT) project. I am passionate about applying data‑driven insights, partnering with stakeholders, and leading cross‑functional teams to achieve operational excellence and sustainable change.Beyond my professional work, I am a strong advocate for the prevention of family and domestic violence, suicide prevention, and mental health awareness. I believe balance is critical to long‑term success and strive to apply that principle in both my personal and professional life.
