About Sam Peacock
As a student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Kentucky, I am keen to continue expanding my knowledge and understanding of the finance industry. My Studies have given me a strong foundation in financial accounting, business analytics, and professional branding, and I am enthusiastic about exploring more complex topics such as mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, alternative investments, IPOs, private equity, equity research, and fund evaluation. I continue to look for new opportunities to challenge myself and further grow as a finance professional. Whether it be through my involvement in student organizations like the Finance Society, or volunteering with nonprofit organizations such as Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, I am committed to increasing my knowledge of finance beyond the classroom. I look to implement my various unique experiences in multiple different fields and industries to create new perspectives in the finance realm. I believe in the importance of creating a diverse and inclusive environment within the finance industry and strive to apply my competencies and understanding to contribute to positive and sustainable change. in addition to my academic and extracurricular pursuits, I have gained valuable experience through various jobs and opportunities where I have honed my talents in business evaluation, backend finance operations, and financial modeling. With a proficiency in programming languages such as Python, HTML, CSS, and Java, as well as software programs such as the Microsoft office suite and Google suite, I am well-equipped to succeed in a multitude of finance roles that are applicable to numerous positions within financial institutions, firms, and funds.
