ABOUT SAMIRA K. DAVIS

Samira’s prior experience in Public Relations includes having represented the homeless of Sarasota in their quest for societal legitimacy. She has worked closely with members of ACLU FL, the media and others, and has engineered narratives on behalf of a number of influencers. In September of 2018, in anticipation of Hurricane Florence, Samira volunteered to serve as the unpaid Public Relations Director for the Pender County Humane Society, appointed by the ED. Achievements include earned media coverage in The Washington in donations to PCHS, and securing a s/f facility to serve as the crisis shelter in Wilmington for injured and abandoned animals. She also obtained extensive donations via various private foundations and individuals, in support of lost and displaced pets. On September 22 of 2018, also in response to Hurricane Florence, Samira signed on in a volunteer (unpaid) role for Our Heroes, Inc in a consulting capacity. Achievements include securing a s/f facility to serve as the Distribution Center for NC, which has supported all counties throughout NC, after Ag effectively pulled funding. Equine supplies, dog food and cat food have been distributed to residents of many counties throughout NC. She also coordinated with private donors and key influencers, ensuring that product was available to the general public at no cost, during the critical first 30 days. For the month of October 2018, whilst also serving in the above capacity, Samira simultaneously volunteered in the unpaid role of Public Relations Director for the United Cajun Navy. Achievements include tens of thousands raised in donations and earned media in the Sarasota Herald Tribune. Samira enjoys working with humans and their four legged friends, assisting them in finding furrever homes as a licensed realtor. She is based in the coastal NC area and operates by referral.
