ABOUT SAMANTHA PIDOUX
Currently working for Money20/20 in a global role as their Communities Project Manager. I work with the Global Head of Communities and together we look after a number of communities in the Fintech/business world - Startups, retailers, merchants and Money20/20\'s RiseUp and Amplify programmes. These specialised programmes are about female empowerment, inclusivity and diversity - changing the face of fintech and putting more diverse people at the table with the confidence to use their voices and make real impact in their jobs. I have always been passionate about people - who they are, their stories and what they can bring to their business and or industry. I am also passionate about empowering people from different backgrounds to strive for greatness. Before working for Money20/20, I led teams and developed programmes across journalism, communications and media. As the Programme Leader for the former BA (Hons) Communications and PR Degree and later for our MA in Media and Communications, I designed an engaging curriculum, supported staff development and ensured consistently strong student outcomes. During my time in HE I continued to work as a freelance journalist. In both of these jobs I meet and worked with amazing people and helped them tell their stories and or in many cases, I was part of their story. I continue to mentor journalism and PR alumni in their careers and volunteer for the Media Trust as a mentor supporting charity communication and PR teams with their story telling.
