Saba Cyr is a Ph.D. candidate and graduate research assistant at University of Maine whose work centers on understanding and mitigating the impacts of natural hazards like hurricanes, landslides, and coastal erosion. Through her research, she aims to understand the underlying causes of these incidents in order to enhance resilience in disaster-prone regions, combining advanced fieldwork with new technologies to drive meaningful change. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is an accomplished violinist and pianist who finds joy in camping, knitting, and community service.
