ABOUT SÉRGIO MENEZES

Sergio has 25+ years of experience in the consulting and executive career, with extensive experience in M&A, integration (PMI), valuation, strategic planning, supply chain management and operational excellence. He excels in the Consumer Products & Retail and in Mining & Metals industries.He currently works for EY Brazil, where he is the leader for Transaction Strategy & Execution within the EY-Parthenon practice, with focus on due diligence services (Commercial, Operational, Information Technology and Cyber), and also hands-on operational support to consummate a post merger integration or a divestiture.Previously, he worked for Partners in Performance (PIP), an Australian consulting company, in charge of the Brazilian operations with focus on business improvement of existing operations and improvements in capital project investments.From 2007 to 2010, he operated as an independent adviser, helping companies and their shareholders in developing new strategies, improving current operations, building partnerships, restructuring and selling its business, negotiating, concluding transactions, etc. From 2003 to 2007, he has worked for VALE do Rio Doce, a worldwide leader in diversified mining, serving as a Director, with overall responsibility for the Operational Excellence Program (TEOR) comprising all the ferrous units, 48 production units overall. Through TEOR, he has started the implementation of a comprehensive operational improvement plan for the company.Sergio has a BEng in Civil Engineering from UFMG, one of the prestigious universities in Brazil, graduating with gold medal award for the top score in his class of 1988, and a M.Sc. in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management in 1992. He has also pursued a continued executive education in IMD (Switzerland) and MIT Sloan School (USA).
