About Ryan Korsgard
Ryan is the general manager at Million Air Austin. Million Air is THE premier fixed base operator in the world. With operations around the globe, Million Air AUS is now the gateway to central Texas and the hill country in the fast-growing Texas state capitol. Working in aviation is a bit of a return to Ryan\'s roots. Ryan grew up in a \"mom and pop\" grocery store (Roy\'s Market) in Duncan, Oklahoma. Like the aviation industry, customer service and fuel sales were both a major focus of the grocery industry. Through the example set by his parents, he learned how to take care of customers and earn their loyalty through superior service. Ryan was an Emmy award winning journalist who moved to Austin, Texas after reporting in the country\'s seventh-largest TV market, Houston. Ryan has extensive experience interviewing, writing and reporting from breaking news locations across the country and around the world. Ryan contributed to both the \"on air\" as well as the station\'s digital news products. Ryan also has experience with digital photography, videography and editing, as well as videography utilizing drones. Ryan received two Emmy awards and has an additional four Emmy nominations. Ryan has extensive experience covering severe weather. He covered some of the most powerful recorded tornadoes as well as hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, Harvey, Ivan, Michael and many others. Ryan became known as \"Houston\'s Space Reporter\" covering Houston\'s Johnson Space Center and the growing private space industry. Ryan is excited about this latest chapter as he and his team build Million Air AUS into the preferred FBO serving the general aviation community for those visiting or living in central Texas.
