ABOUT RYAN CUCCUINI

My name is Ryan Cuccuini and I am a sophomore attending the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics double majoring in Finance and FinTech. I am from New Jersey where I went to school at Hopewell Valley Central High School. I have a strong interest in financial markets, quantitative analysis, and the intersection of technology and finance. I enjoy building data-driven projects, especially those that combine Python, market data, and machine learning.Recently, I developed a full algorithmic trading and machine learning model on SPY. The project integrates global market indices, technical indicators, feature engineering, and complete backtesting with metrics such as CAGR, Sharpe Ratio, volatility, and drawdown. This project strengthened my skills in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, yfinance, ta), data analysis, and model evaluation.I’ve also completed Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), Coursera’s Python and Statistics for Financial Analysis, and earned Machine Learning Badges for Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Classification through the Google Machine Learning Crash Course.On campus, I stay involved through various clubs and by serving as the VP of Alumni & Family Relations for Alpha Sigma Phi, where I manage communication and engagement as well as plan events for our chapter\'s alumni and family.I’m interested in exploring diverse internship opportunities where I can leverage my strengths in finance, data analysis, and technology.
