I work with leaders and organizations navigating complexity, change, and cultural inflection points, particularly where traditional leadership approaches are no longer sufficient. My work is grounded in a human-centered, systems-aware approach that blends strategic rigor with emotional intelligence, helping leaders translate insight into sustained behavior and culture change.

ABOUT ROSE NAKAMOTO

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of leadership, organizational culture, and change, particularly in complex, high-stakes environments where the work matters deeply and the path forward is rarely linear.Currently, I lead leadership and talent development at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a 10k-employee scientific and technical R&D organization. My work positions leadership as a core driver of organizational effectiveness - aligning on an enterprise leadership model, building shared capability, and strengthening the conditions for trust, collaboration, and results across the organization during periods of sustained complexity and change. In previous roles across higher education, consulting, and start-ups, including leadership roles with Santa Clara University, Jobs for the Future (JFF), and Propel America, I led organizational transformation efforts during periods of change and high growth, building and scaling leadership, career, and talent development systems for lasting organizational impact.Alongside this work, I’m focusing my attention on supporting leaders and organizations to pause, reflect, and engage with what’s shifting, helping navigate change, embrace uncertainty, and explore evolving relationships to work, ambition, and identity.
