I began my working experience in consumer electronics, pivoting to mobile communications following the 1989 liberalization of the telecom industry in the Netherlands. I am holding degrees in Industrial Engineering and Marketing. By I have held various positions at Nokia, France Telecom, and Vodafone, where I served as Managing Director of the Dutch mobile data division.
