ABOUT ROLF ZIESING

I had the good fortune to have leadership roles to deliver the latest generation of the navy nuclear power plant used in Virginia class submarines and the nuclear power plant now operating at Vogtle site. Now as the Vice President of Maritime Programs at General Atomics, I have P/L responsibility for a portfolio of advanced technology solutions for the defense and energy sectors. With over 20 years of experience in nuclear engineering, R&D, program management, quality processes, and new business development, I lead the growth strategy and oversee day to day execution of a diverse technology portfolio including the Ford-class Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) systems, nuclear submarine component design and manufacturing projects, power and energy solutions for crewed and uncrewed platforms, advanced capacitor products for the national security enterprise and fusion applications, radiation monitoring systems, forever chemical (PFAS) waste destruction systems and electrostatic oil refinery slurry filtration systems. My mission is to deliver innovative and reliable products that enhance US national security and energy sector capabilities. I am passionate about developing people and leading teams to accomplish great things, while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and integrity. I leverage my background as a nuclear trained naval officer and a former Naval Reactors SES to bring technical expertise, operational excellence and strategic vision to every project I oversee.
