   Well Control ResponsibilitiesMonitor well parameters continuously (pit levels, flow rates, pump strokes, standpipe pressure, return flow trends).Detect early signs of influx/losses through Amphion alarms and trends.Be fully trained and certified (IWCF or IADC WellSharp) to shut in the well safely.Operate BOP stack and well control equipment via Amphion system panels.2. Drilling OperationsOperate drawworks, top drive, mud pumps, rotary, and pipe-handling equipment through Amphion joystick and touchscreen controls.Maintain correct weight on bit (WOB), rotary speed, and drilling parameters for optimized ROP (rate of penetration).Supervise tripping in/out of hole, making connections, and running casing.Apply correct procedures for slips-to-slips connection time, circulation, and back reaming.3. Safety & SupervisionLead and supervise rig floor crew (roughnecks, derrickman, assistant driller).Conduct pre-job safety meetings and enforce permit-to-work (PTW) system.Ensure compliance with company, contractor, and regulatory HSE policies.Stop unsafe acts and intervene when necessary.4. Equipment Monitoring & ControlOperate and monitor Amphion control system screens for:Hoisting (drawworks load, block position).Rotary system (torque, RPM).Circulation (pump pressures, flow, mud properties).Alarms and interlocks.Coordinate with maintenance crew to report malfunctions in Amphion, PLCs, or rig equipment.Ensure pipe handling system (iron roughneck, catwalk machine, elevators) works smoothly.5. Communication & ReportingLiaise with company man, toolpusher, and service company personnel about drilling progress.Communicate clearly with rig floor crew during all operations, often using CCTV, intercom, or radios.6. Leadership & TrainingTrain assistant drillers and floor crew in safe use of Amphion system.Mentor crew on well control, tripping, and emergency response drills.Encourage teamwork between rig floor, derrick, and mud pump teams.
