Responsible for taking in 1st death calls at the Cemetery and following strict guidelines toPrepare all necessary documents and paperwork required for a burial or cremation. This position required strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to meet the daily demands and time constraints of the position. I worked well with my other team mates to adhere to regulatory requirements and on several initiatives to help the team work more productively and efficiently. I took on additional responsibilities that brought about positive changes and assisted in several areas of the Cemetery to overcome obstacles. I was always thinking outside the box to change a problem into a solution. Changed positions within the company in January 2023. January 2023 I have had the pleasure of working with our families as they plan their loved ones Celebration of Life. This has been one of the most rewarding positions I have had with Volusia Memorial being able to create a lasting and final Celebration to honor those that have passed on. I personally help the Funeral Directors to exceed the expectation of families after plans are made to either bury or cremate their loved ones. We create a Life story of their life and honor them and their accomplishments during their lifetime. Although these services can be very sad I know we do everything we can to not only allow for the grieving but, celebrate.
