Responsible for maximizing the return on funds managed and for researching, analyzing and monitoring the investments of the ANZ Australian Staff Superannuation Scheme (“ANZ Staff Super”). Including :• Primary responsibility to the Board for managing the investments for ANZ Staff Super;• Managing the provision of custodian services, the advice and services provided by asset consultants and tax specialist and legal advisers on investment governance matters;• The oversight of all outsourced investment managers including their, researching and recommending their appointment, ongoing performance monitoring and when required termination;• Implementation and oversight of currency hedging strategies;• Managing asset allocations (including rebalancing as necessary) to ensure the overall asset allocation is consistent with investment strategies, illiquid assets are within investment option thresholds and member investment choices; and• Liquidity management to accommodate calls from investment managers, member switching (including early release payments), settling currency hedging positions and other operational liquidity needs.
