Role involves myriad responsibilities, from overseeing team that develops content for all print and digital channels to working with C-suite executives in achieving their communication priorities. Also serve as lead for crisis communications team, frequently serving within Incident Command structure to facilitate rapid communications through multiple channels during emergencies.• Serve as the primary communications contact for senior medical center leadership, working alongside Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief HR Officer, and others, to understand their goals and make meaningful and strategic plans to achieve their objectives. Examples include reinforcing mission and values enterprise-wide, organizing complex compensation communications across nearly impacted team members, and creating awareness around UVA Health’s growth and expansion across the Commonwealth• Oversee crisis communications team, responding to a number of pressing emergencies, ranging from the prolonged network outages to the 2024 IV fluid shortage to student protests to numerous inclement weather events• Frequently enable change management tactics to adapt workforce to new ways of delivering patient care. Work involves creating detailed and comprehensive communications that reach employees through multiple avenues, including print, digital, and face-to-face channels• Partner with Human Resources to plan events and engaging communications that celebrate employees during Hospital Week, Nurses Week, milestone anniversaries, holidays, and other occasions
