As an Institutional Research Analyst with BC, I design and build new Tableau dashboards as well as maintain and update a library of 20 or so dashboards to help faculty and staff visualize different aspects of students success, retention, persistence, completion, etc. as well as different factors like participation in various programs, demographic characteristics, or membership in different special populations or cohorts (i.e, Veterans or Foster Youth). I also write complex SQL queries and R scripts to extract and organize data or create statistics, statistical tables or reports to respond to ad hoc research requests from faculty and staff. I also work as a lead research analyst to represent BC on the California Consortium for Public Health Informatics and Technology (CCPHIT) with the goal of training and placing 700+ Public Health informatics technicians in ONC-funded internships in PH Departments and private and non-profit public health-focused organizations across CA and beyond.
