About Robert C.

I\'ve been working in animation for 26 years and I\'ve loved every minute of it. Currently I\'m a CG Supervisor for Nickelodeon, overseeing every aspect of the CG Department for the episodic reboot of the Rugrats. However over the past 26 years I\'ve had the opportunity to explore almost every avenue of animation production. Being born and raised in the Burbank area, I grew up in the shadows of the largest animation studios in the world. I was drawn to art and drawing from a very early age and as I grew older, so did the sophistication of my draftsman skills. However being raised by a poor family and in an era where animation education was not easily obtained I focused on more traditional career interests such as healthcare, computer science, etc. It didn\'t take long for me to discover that I was not meant for these careers. Despite being very knowledgeable on mathematics and sciences, I decided to take a drawing class as an elective. It was then that I knew that I was cut out for something creative. I fell back in love with drawing and film making and ravenously looked for how I could take my talent to a new level. It didn\'t take long for me to find my way, attending conventions, networking events, and socializing with other artists soon led me to obtaining internships and entry level jobs. Since then I\'ve had the pleasure of working at Rhythm and Hues, Centropolis FX, EA and Nickelodeon just to name a few. I\'ve worked everything from feature level VFX animation, VR, Episodic TV, Games, Commercials, layout and more. Everyday has brought new challenges and I\'m still hungry to continue to grow and learn new skills.

   Led CG production teams at Nickelodeon Animation, introducing new technologies to streamline processes and develop technical capabilities. Provided technical solutions for creative challenges and acted as a liaison between overseas leads and the animation team.
