ABOUT RICH MARTIN

My daughter walked into the kitchen one day and, quite out of the blue, announced to the family that she was going to figure out what each of us would be if we were an inanimate object. She returned an hour later and said to me \"Dad, if you were an inanimate object, you would be wheels on a suitcase because you are always trying to make things easier for everyone else\". I found it heart-warming and amusing at the time, and now realize she nailed my core purpose. I have spent decades as an entrepreneur, operations leader, sales & marketing leader and CEO. My college roommates and I started, built and, later, sold Nonni\'s Biscotti and I\'ve been committed to doing meaningful work with people I love ever since. My experience spans building teams, scaling businesses, mergers & acquisitions, managing privately-held companies as well as subsidiaries of publicly-traded global companies. No matter the title or setting, two things have remained constant: I love growing businesses and I love helping people succeed.In my current role at Emerson Human Capital, I focus on putting our consultants, and ultimately our clients, in a position to be successful. This means saying yes to projects that fit squarely in our wheelhouse and referring clients to others for everything else. I manage our key client relationships & partnerships and lead strategy, business development & marketing. I\'m always up for acting as a thought partner and will do whatever I can to add value to your work (and career). If your suitcase could use an extra set of wheels, I hope to hear from you.
