ABOUT RICHARD VAUSE
Seasoned PA (now retired from full time practice) with 48 years of experience in a wide variety of medical settings and specialties. Full-time PA educator from 2005 until 2016, while maintaining regular clinical practice. Served eight years in the U.S. Army and 15 years in the Commissioned Corps of the USPHS. National lecturer on a variety of topics and principal developer of a course in child abuse recognition and reporting for medical professionals and author of a course on Bioterrorism for the Primary Care Provider. Developed a course on Violence in the workplace and Violence in the Healthcare workplace and lectured nationally on both topics.Currently, PA-C Emeritus and the Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees of the PA History Society, I am providing career counseling to younger PAs (many former students) and pre-PAs, and provide consulting and expert witness services for medical-legal cases involving PAs.
