Mr. Buhay has 20+ years of experience in Managing various industries to include facilities management, maintenance, mechanical, safety, planning, industrial, locomotive and container cranes. He is an expert in planning and managing the maintenance and repair in multifaceted industries. His current role for Michaels as the regional facilities operations maintenance manager allows him the opportunity to handle all aspects of building maintenance as well as sorter equipment preventive maintenance and repairs; to plcs, photo eyes, motors and belts. His previous role at wayfair gave him the opportunity to showcase his talents in working with contractors and vendors with bringing a 1.1 million square foot building thru construction to opening and operating. This included in process inspections of all facets of the facility to the standing of racking, a 30 million dollar sortation system, and dealing with flooring issues. He also designed and built an ergonomic and lean efficient maintenance shop- winning the 5S award for the company. He worked as the Assistant Manager of Equipment at Jacksonville Port Authority. Mr. Buhay oversaw all aspects of maintenance planning for the companies container cranes ensuring quality repairs and preventative maintenance\'s are safely performed in a timely manner. Mr. Buhay\' previous position as plant manager at the largest locomotive repair facility within CSX Transportation had him overseeing the maintenance planning for the fortune 500 company’s fleet of locomotives and four facilities. His responsibilities included compliance monitoring, materials, safety requirements and procedures for locomotives, Submarines, Container cranes and facilities. Mr. Buhay is retired from the United States Navy where he served 21 years.
