I was brought on as a member of our Rockies Operations Geology team at its inception and so have the unique experience of participating in its formation, growth and development. In addition to my responsibilities as a geologist, I serve as a trainer, mentor, ambassador and a team lead.I have geo-steered over 600 wells in various plays within the U.S Rockies region. In most of these I have served in a 24/7 capacity and as the primary geology contact. In addition to overseeing real-time operations, I serve as the primary source for aquifer identification and characterization within the DJ Basin and also support our vertical well preparation effort.I have been able to greatly refine my skills not only in well modelling using LWD data, but also in the interpretation of both 2D and 3D seismic (including velocity modeling, depth conversion, etc.) in order to help successfully place hundreds of wells in some of the most structurally complex basins in the world. As a result of these responsibilities, I regularly communicate time sensitive information clearly and effectively between various disciplines including engineering, regulatory and field operations.I have mastered StarSteer and SES and have offered suggestions directly to their creators that have been adopted. I currently use DSG for seismic interpretation/mapping and am very familiar with other software packages including GeoGraphix and Petra.
