About Rebecca Ashack
I’ve been blessed to be able to work over 20 years in the water & wastewater industry, working in engineering, operations and learning and development, most of that time being at American Water (Indiana and HQO). I’ve been so fortunate to recently be elected by the wonderful women as the International Board Representative of the Indiana Chapter of WiNUP. This great organization helps women in the gas, electric, water and wastewater industry come together to help each other with professional and personal development and community involvement. I also have been honored to be voted in as Secretary of Pet Friend Services of Indiana to help with end the euthanasia of adoptable pets throughout Indiana. Most recently helping with grant writing, event hosting and volunteer coordinator. My strong communication and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, while prioritizing multiple projects at once have helped me work with IWEA on the Leadership Development Institute committee. I thrive on using my interpersonal, technical and managerial skills to create a safe work environment for all levels within an organization. I love to use my excellent analytical problem solving skills and strong relationship building expertise coupled with an ability to motivate team members is a valuable asset to any organization seeking to make positive impacts on operational performance. I’m always looking for ways to better myself and expand my knowledge, most recently working towards my master’s of engineering in Interdisciplinary Engineering with Purdue University.
