Manage a staff of approximately 20 professionals and a budget of more than • Responsible for the prosecution of thousands of felony-level criminal cases – from investigation to conviction and appeals.• Argued to the Ohio Supreme Court and the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals. • Tried dozens of cases involving felony charges ranging from aggravated murder to drug possession. • Traveled to the US/Mexico border to meet with local and federal law enforcement and learn about the influx of fentanyl and other drugs into our community. • Met with members of Congress and the U.S. Senate to discuss issues relating to the opioid epidemic. • Met with members of the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate to discuss issues relating to the opioid epidemic. • Created the Prosecutor’s Intervention Program – a pre-indictment diversionary program for low level, non-violent, drug offenders, which has brought in more than in federal, state, and local grant monies. • Developed and maintained great professional and personal relationships with Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion Police Department.• Caused tax foreclosures to be filed on real estate owing more than in delinquent taxes.• Represented Townships with various zoning issues, development issues, etc. • Represented county elected officials and coordinated their collective efforts on various projects. • Elected in 2018, reelected in 2020 (unopposed) and reelected again in 2024 with more than 72% of the vote – the largest margin of victory in over 25 years. • Unanimously endorsed twice – 2018 and 2024 – by the Marion County Fraternal Order of Police, Steve Young Memorial Lodge, for Prosecuting Attorney.
