ABOUT RAKESH RANJAN
I lead Precision Aquaculture research at The Conservation Fund’s Freshwater Institute. The overarching goal of this program is to bridge cutting-edge science with industry needs to advance land-based aquaculture. My lab adopts innovative technologies—such as computer vision, machine learning, and hyperspectral imaging—to address real-world challenges in recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) management. Our work focuses on developing knowledge-based decision support tools that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in commercial RAS operations.
