I\'m Rahul Gyawali, a Master\'s student in Computer Science at Arizona State University with a 4.0 GPA and over four years of professional experience in backend development and software engineering. I specialize in designing, building, and scaling high-performance systems that support millions of users, leveraging technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka. With a strong foundation in distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms, I have successfully led cross-functional teams to optimize system reliability, performance, and scalability. In my previous role as a Senior Software Engineer at Paytm Payments Bank, I led a team in designing and maintaining critical backend systems, optimizing performance, reliability, and availability to achieve a 99.99% uptime. My experience includes implementing RESTful APIs, designing microservice architectures, and building CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. I am adept at employing a Cloud-First strategy and leveraging tools like AWS, Prometheus, and ELK to monitor and manage complex systems. My research interests also include applying machine learning in real-world scenarios, and I have co-authored a research paper on cardiovascular disease prediction, published at an international conference.
