ABOUT RAGHVENDRA CHAUHAN
As a Business Development Lead at Jindal Stainless, I am responsible for developing and expanding the defence manufacturing business in India through a joint venture with Taurus Armas Brazil. I work with various defence OEMs and government stakeholders to understand their needs and offer customized solutions using our speciality steels and alloys. Prior to this role, I was an Associate Manager at Jindal Stainless, where I contributed to the new product development of high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels, armour steels, nickel alloys, and other strategic materials for the domestic defence and aerospace sectors. I also managed the sales and marketing of these products, achieving multiple contracts and deals with key clients like ISRO, DRDO, BDL, and OFBs. Additionally, I reduced the cost of existing grades by optimizing the heat treatment process parameters and performed failure or defect analysis using various characterization techniques.
