In this role I am responsible for driving regulatory alignment across the organisation, with a focus on the EU AI Act, emerging AI governance standards and broader banking compliance requirements. I lead the analysis of existing processes, policies and systems, identify compliance gaps, and translate regulatory obligations into actionable business and technology requirements. I work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology and senior stakeholders to ensure new solutions, processes and controls are designed, implemented and governed in line with regulatory expectations.Core responsibilities- Assessing current (“As-Is”) policy frameworks, operational processes and control environments to identify gaps against the EU AI Act, local regulations and global banking standards- Defining “To-Be” compliance models, governance frameworks and operational procedures that embed accountability, transparency, risk management and ethical AI principles- Leading requirements gathering and documentation (epics, user stories, BRDs) for regulatory, process and system changes, ensuring full traceability and audit readiness- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align regulatory needs with technical design, data governance, system enhancements and transformation initiatives- Supporting risk assessments, vendor and cloud onboarding reviews, and AI-related compliance evaluations to ensure adherence to internal and external standards- Participating in process optimisation, automation assessments and technology-driven improvements to strengthen operational resilience and regulatory adherence- Preparing compliance documentation, dashboards, standards and evidence repositories required for audits, supervisory reviews and internal governance forums- Ensuring continuous alignment with regulatory developments, including the EU AI Act implementation roadmap and evolving banking sector expectations.
