I am a Packaging professional with a Diploma in Packaging Technology. I am also a Quality Systems professional with experience in SQF and HACCP quality accreditation. I am currently doing a mix role of Packaging and Quality as a Packaging / QA Technologist. This role allows me to get the best of both worlds.As part of my Packaging role, I am responsible for: 1. Management of packaging innovation and projects related to existing packaging. Working with packaging suppliers to develop new packaging 3. Support production with packaging related issues 4. Develop packaging specifications 5. Manage Beerenberg’s commitment to APCO including annual submission of APCO report and development pf action plan. Testing of incoming packaging as required 7. Lead and Drive sustainability ideas and projectsAs part of my Quality role, I am responsible for: 1. Manage induction and annualised training Quality Management Training. Provide staff training, support, coaching and mentoring to all staff. Support overall management of Preventative Maintenance 4. Support overall technical management of Approved Supplier Program.5. General Quality support: active HACCP member, backup SQF coordinator to Technical Manager, completion of internal audits, responsible for NCR’s as directed. Key member of NCR, Quality and NPD meetings. Provide back up and assistance to the Technical team as required 8. Provide production support 9. Ensure Beerenberg continues to meet or exceed requirements of external audits.
