ABOUT PRAGATI RAO MANDIKAL VASUKI

As a curious, thoughtful individual, I gravitated towards pursuing how the human body, specifically our communication senses work leading me to graduate with a Masters in Audiology (Gold Medal) from the University of Mysore, India. My interest in understanding the sensory-brain connection further led me towards getting a PhD in Audiology and Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience from Macquarie University, Australia. From there, my passion for improving on our senses, general health and delivering transformative solutions led me to the medical device space in the US. Over the last 8 years, I have used my clinical expertise, strategic vision, and technical proficiency, towards developing, validating, and launching medical devices in the healthcare space. At Earlens, I led product development cycles in a fast-paced medical device startup, successfully leading 14 commercial product launches (hardware and software) and 26 product updates. I defined requirements, features, product strategy, roadmaps, business use cases, closely working with KOLs while ensuring each launch aligned with dynamic corporate objectives. I also created product training materials, and acted as a product evangelist, conducting demos, presentations, and trainings to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.In my work at Starkey, Earlens, and in my PhD at Macquarie University, I have also led 30+ clinical research studies to evaluate product evaluate product efficacy, safety, and usability (UX/UI) for hardware, software, firmware updates. These include human factors evaluations, early hardware feasibility studies, design validations, clinical validation studies for FDA 510k approval, clinical trials, and multi-site software and hardware testing studies. I have published and presented extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. I have also been a finalist for the President\'s Award and the People\'s Choice Award at Earlens for my outstanding performance and leadership.I am a 200H certified yoga teacher, a cooking enthusiast, an amateur artist, and a Western music aficionado with some training in Indian classical music.** no sponsorship required
