ABOUT PIETRO DI MARZO

Born and raised in sunny Palermo, Sicily; my interest in the internet, the web and graphic design started when I was 14. I took a webmaster course after my high-school diploma and then started working for the biggest communication agency in Palermo as a web and graphic designer. Three years later, I successfully gained a scholarship to Europe\'s best design school, IED - Istituto Europeo di Design.My three-year course in Milan taught me web development, media design, UI/UX and I learned to make the artistic and the business side of every project meet.Throughout my career I have continued my learnings through on the job training and attending various seminars such as Real Big Things. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, teaching others and learning from my colleagues advances in technology and tools. Examples would be the challenging workshops and projects involving important museums of the city (Fondazione Pomodoro) as well as huge corporations such as The Walt Disney Company. After arriving in Australia, I studied User Experience Design at General Assembly learning how to deliver the best product for my clients, researching the information architecture of the business, developing Personas, sketching prototype, testing them using tools like Sketch, Invision and similar.From Arduino to Processing and other computer-art softwares, I had the chance of experimenting, trying, expanding my horizons, thinking outside the box. And I found it thrilling. Which is why I\'d also love to consider a career in the R&D department of a software agency or else.I am currently based in Melbourne, Victoria, and I\'m always looking for new challenges and experience.I can undoubtedly state that I master the following softwares- Adobe Photoshop- Adobe Illustrator- Adobe Indesign- Vim as well as- HTML- CSS- Javascript- SassMy top skills include- Graphic design- HTML- CSS- Sass- Javascript- Javascript frameworks (React, Angular)
