My career includes ~9 years of experience across engineering, science, and project management roles. I have held roles in the infectious disease and aerospace industries. My primary focus at Abbott involves supporting New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, specifically design transfer of reagent & consumable manufacturing processes. My current role blends people management & project management with both in-person and remote interactions across time zones. My engineering experience includes validation of automated equipment for high-volume test manufacturing, supplier qualification for raw material procurement, risk management activities for product failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and development/refinement of design specifications for test piece sub-systems. I have conducted characterization of critical to functional physical attributes, such as mechanical action and interference between molded plastic components. I have also supported design of aging studies for complex systems involving chemical & mechanical interaction.I provide mentorship to engineering interns and entry-level engineers, scientists, and project managers, which is an activity I take pride in.
