I\'m a scientist interested in advancing the use of new chemical technology in commercial applications, which has led me to pursue a career at the intersection of science and business. My graduate research focused on new catalytic methods using both metal and non-metal catalysts, and I am particularly interested in the application of catalysis in industrial synthesis. My background in science lends itself to a data-driven approach to business strategy. I am interested in applying probabilistic thinking (rather than point estimates or deterministic models) to important decisions. I do my best to apply the statistical techniques outlined in Sam Savage\'s \"The Flaw of Averages\" as well as Doug Hubbard\'s \"How To Measure Anything\" to real world problems that require inputs with considerable uncertainty.
