ABOUT PETER CAMERON

My commitment to OH & S is driven by my genuine passion for the health, safety and wellbeing of others. I take pride in my personal integrity and have strong ethics in regard to my commitment to the role that I play within an organisation, in achieving objectives and deliverables tasked within the role. I have 20 years’ experience working within HSEQ management roles within forestry, mining, oil and gas, energy, aviation, defence contracting, hard rock drilling and maritime OSV industries. I have worked both ‘in-field’ and in corporate roles. I have past experience as a consultant, providing strategic advice and documentation to oil and gas, geothermal and carbon sequestration industries across the eastern sea board. I have worked in a global capacity in 4 roles. I deliver what I commit to. I have a strong strategic focus and professional drive that brings energy to those I work with and manage. I lead by example in demonstrating positive leadership attitudes, through the provision of clear direction, to establish and set the culture; staff performance management through mentoring and effective and timely feedback about how people are doing; people mobilisation and accountability through goal setting, talent management and progression planning. I am a strong advocate for inclusive and consultative teamwork of employees to ensure staff that surround me are on the same strategic trajectory and have similar results-orientated attitudes and philosophies towards the roles they perform within workplace. Years of experience in the field working in various departments at senior levels make me confident to deliver outstanding results. My self-starting, troubleshooting nature and inclination to learn new skills refines my abilities to cater the job requisition.
