Summarizing a life and career is never an easy task and cannot fully express my appreciation to a company that I am honored to work for. Many people have spent time and energy mentoring and challanging me to be better at everything I do, with their persistence and belief in me has led me down the career path to be store director with Hy-Vee. I am fortunate to be in the position of leadership and mentoring that inspired me at a young age to work hard, be honest and get out of work what you put into it. Now I am in a position that I can reciprocate those ideals, dreams, values and visions to a new generation. Providing guidance after seeing a gift or a skill in an employee and helping them to develop that is what keeps me energized daily. My job is not to put people in jobs where I need a body, it is finding their skills, passion and interests and directing them to a job that utilizes all of those while benefiting the store and keeping the employee engaged. Turning a job into a career is just the beginning, mentoring and growing them to best the best is the next step. I love my job!
