Summary: The Corporate Development team develops, creates, and acts on strategies/transactions to ensure companies can remain competitive in their markets and expand into new markets. This role plays a key part in developing and driving strategic growth initiatives. Responsible for leading the executive team and stakeholders through the transaction lifecycle and deal execution process. The incumbent ensures the company maximizes synergies to generate lasting growth through activities including sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and executing strategic acquisitions. Researches, studies, and analyzes markets tied transaction strategies and makes acquisition and strategic partnership recommendations to drive significant growth as well as to maintain the enterprise’s leadership position in the industry. Provides leadership and analytical support in evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, partnerships/alliances, acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs, and joint ventures. Assists executive leadership in establishing target screening criteria. Supports industry relationships and engages with potential clients. Cultivates a pipeline and builds relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, other Blue’s Plans, and executives to stay informed of early and growth companies Drives all aspects of deal execution - conducts mergers and acquisition-related activities (negotiation, due diligence, integration, and closing activities), oversees financial modeling and analysis activities, and drives internal processes to ensure speed of execution. Drives engagement across internal and external stakeholders and project teams and encourages collaboration and commitment to the achievement and delivery of project goals. Coordinates and implements new business opportunity due diligence with business divisions and functional groups. Assists in training Corporate Development professionals on key legal and compliance issues relating to transactions deal process improvements.
