ABOUT MIKKO PERVILÄ
I have a rather unique background spanning 30 years of cyber security, academia, and the games industry.As a cyber security leader, I’ve modernized a 24/7 CSOC into industry best practices and award-winning continuous quality of service. I\'ve lead multiple diverse teams and achieved a 60% growth in revenue, as well as participated in the risk management processes in several organizations. As a scientist, I worked as the principal investigator in green/sustainable ICT projects that researched the energy efficiency of very large data centers. In the games industry, I designed the SRE environments behind multiple game projects, including Quantum Break and Control.In my spare time, I design volunteer events spanning thousands of people, where the absolute majority of people work for free. My most well-known project is Disobey, for which I’ve been the chairman of the board since 2018. I also worked on the Ropecon project for more than 15 of its formative years and was there when we founded its association.
