About Pavel Petrov
Pavel Petrov is a Development Manager for Astral in Los Angeles, California. He has recently assisted in the acquisition of more than 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use commercial and hospitality space, with the ongoing conversion of an existing hotel portfolio into nearly 850 residential units throughout major U.S. markets. Pavel is actively involved in project sourcing and acquisitions, financial/feasibility analysis, due diligence, design management, entitlements, and development management (including contract negotiations with third-party vendors, management agreements, government incentive programs, condominium plans/sub-divisions, project cost plan, requisition oversight, schedule review, and cost management). Whether for Astral projects or joint ventures, the goal is always to deliver projects on time and on budget, while minimizing risk and maximizing returns.Prior to Astral, while earning a Master’s of Real Estate Development from Columbia University, Pavel led the winning team in the Urban Land Institute’s Hines Competition. Before graduate school, Pavel spent ten years shaping the built environment as a Planner, Landscape Architect, and Urban Designer for an internationally renowned design firm. The projects were diverse in scale, budget, and complexity – collectively serving as a valuable foundation for real estate development. Pavel is actively seeking opportunities to develop mixed-use projects to shape the built environment and foster resilient communities while addressing social, economic, and environmental concerns.
