ABOUT PAUL STANISTREET
An education professional with more than two decades\' experience at national and international levels, I am Head of Knowledge Management and Communications and Executive Editor of the International Review of Education (IRE) at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. In this role, I oversee UIL\'s publications, communications and knowledge management functions, and edit the one of the most influential and longest-standing journals in the field. I am part of the senior management team and contribute to advocacy and policy development. I have wide professional experience in academic research, writing and teaching, education journalism, policy development, national-level advocacy, magazine and report editing, and website management. I edited NIACE\'s Adults Learning from 2002 to 2014. After leaving NIACE, I worked as a consultant, including international agencies, think tanks, education advocacy organisations and teaching unions among my clients. I have managed a wide range of policy and project work, including research studies for government departments and voluntary sector organizations, commission reports and policy reviews.
