ABOUT PATRICK SULLIVAN

I am currently a Regional Sales Director in the Electrophysiology division at Abbott Labs, leading high-performing teams focused on advancing cardiac ablations and improving patient outcomes. My work centers on building strong clinical partnerships, driving strategic growth, and developing sales leaders who operate with integrity, accountability, and measurable impact. With a career rooted in healthcare innovation, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside physicians, hospital systems, and executive stakeholders to deliver technologies that improve procedural success, operational efficiency, and long-term patient care. I’m particularly passionate about developing teams that combine technical expertise with relationship-driven execution in complex clinical environments.Beyond my professional responsibilities, I’m deeply committed to health advocacy shaped by personal experience. Following my father’s journey with Stage IV squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, I helped co-found the Pat & Jean Sullivan Survivorship Program at the University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham, AL. It is differentiated from other survivorship programs as it was created to support patients and their loved ones beginning at diagnosis, not just after treatment. The program has supported more than patients and families navigating head and neck cancer through coordinated survivorship care.https://vimeo.com/11••••••65/48a34d17d1I’m also an advocate for concussion and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) awareness. After my father was posthumously diagnosed with Stage 3 CTE, my perspective on brain health and long-term neurological risk fundamentally changed. As a former college football player, I’ve seen how athletes often struggle with symptoms related to repeated head trauma—frequently without clear guidance or support.Through speaking engagements and professional education, I work with athletes, parents, coaches, teams, and organizations to:• Increase awareness of concussion symptoms and long-term brain health risks• Reduce stigma around reporting and seeking care• Encourage informed, evidence-based decision-making without attacking the game itself. Across my professional role and advocacy work, my focus is consistent: bringing clarity to complex healthcare challenges and ensuring patients, athletes, and families are supported from the moment it matters most.
