ABOUT PATRICK M.

As a dedicated System Administrator in the United States Air Force, I leverage my CompTIA Security+ certification and technical expertise to ensure the security, efficiency, and reliability of mission-critical IT systems. With over 3.5 years of hands-on experience, I have successfully managed network infrastructure, implemented security protocols, and optimized system performance to safeguard sensitive data. Beyond day-to-day operations, I have played a key role in high-value projects, overseeing $5.3 million in asset management and distribution. I also led a team of four in the successful execution of a contract to replace video teleconference systems, improving communication capabilities across the organization. My proficiency in STIG compliance, automation (PowerShell, Python, and Visual Basic), and IT support & asset management has directly contributed to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and enhanced system performance. Prior to my military service, I spent over seven years as an Assistant Store Director at Safeway, where I developed strong leadership, operational management, and customer service skills. This experience, combined with my IT expertise, enables me to take a well-rounded, people-first approach to problem-solving in technical environments. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University (expected July 2025) and an Associate’s degree in Information Technology from the Community College of the Air Force (expected December 2025). My goal is to continue expanding my knowledge, refining my technical and leadership skills, and making a meaningful impact in the IT field.
