ABOUT PATRICK GLYNN

An experienced senior project director of multi-billion dollar, multi-national projects and smaller sized projects. I have 40 years’ experience in the mining and engineering industry in multiple roles including research metallurgist, operations superintendent, process engineer, project engineer, construction and project management. HSE is a core commitment and value for all projects and fundamental to success of projects. Project Management success has been achieved through a hands on approach which is supported by an in-depth knowledge base (experience combined with attention to detail) to achieve an active/participative leadership style that focuses on behavioral based HSE, providing clear roles and responsibilities to subordinates, accountability at every level, and expecting the same throughout the project structure. Management style includes mentoring and guiding project team members to be critical thinkers which is integral to addressing specific details/resolution of issues and overall project execution success. Each phase of a project; engineering, procurement/contracts through construction requires the project director to understand the dynamics, key factors and stakeholders of each phase so as to integrate all of the facets of a project into a coherent strategy to effectively deliver project(s).Overall experience includes pre-feasibility phase through to detailed engineering, construction and turnover to operations of various metallurgical processing facilities. Primary experience in unit operations includes conveyors, crushing, screening, SAG milling, ball milling, flotation, gold carbon in leach recovery systems, pressure oxidation and PGM refining.
