About Pat M.
I am a retired Air Force logistician. My last position was Director of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support for 8th Air Force. I have over 30+ years of leadership in supply chain management and aircraft maintenance, process improvement and building winning teams. I’ve worked alongside people of diverse cultural backgrounds. In every mission, we made strong teams and found more efficient ways to achieve a common goal, in the end, together we celebrated our successes.I am known for providing frank, honest feedback…I’m a huge believer that if you are part of a team or sitting at a table for decisional inputs-contribute with value-added remarks and you’ll be asked back over and over.“That’s the way we have always done it” does not wow me as a leadership style…Let’s try something new and see if we can improve on the light bulb. All people want to succeed, I pride myself in building teams that have a clear vision, the tools to win, and the character not to shy away from failing. Organizations do not grow or prosper by not evaluating risks and then executing on game plans that involve some degree of unknown. The end goal is to always challenge yourself and the team.During my career, I earned a reputation of being that individual you can insert into an underperforming operation and bring it back to a competitive organization. Most recently, I was sent to Afghanistan to work for United States Forces-Afghanistan to fix a broken audit process. Within 6 months, codified procedures were built, teams were formed and communication flowed. Just as significant, I left a process that could be easily repeated by my replacements for continued success.Specialties: Loyalty, integrity, team wins, innovation, cross-functional teams, lessons learned, empowerment, continued personal and professional growth, Supply Chain Management, process improvement, logistics, meeting goals, unmatched work ethic, customer service, globalization, and risk management.
