Function as VUMC’s primary point of contact for charge capture and reconciliation efforts.• Partner with VUMC’s Health IT team and clinical leadership to ensure appropriate and reliable charge triggers are used with a focus on appropriate revenue optimization with compliance risk controls. • Monitor assigned workqueues in EPIC to ensure we are meeting our weekly goals and minimizing our impact to the organizations Candidate for Bill (CFB) metric. CFB includes all claims that are pending in a workqueue waiting for their pre-bill error/edit to be resolved so the system may proceed with billing the claim. We also assist the denials team with follow-up as needed.• Meet quarterly with service line leadership to review revenue and usage trending for the current fiscal year. Address any workflow or charge capture concerns they may have and provide strategic direction to maximize clinical revenue in accordance with billing and coding guidelines.• Perform ad-hoc data analysis requests from my internal customers and translate it into actionable information.• Participate in optimization efforts to improve various workflows and processes to ensure an efficient billing and collections operation.
